Today is a very important day for U.S. citizens, because it is the 2020 General Election. It is a chance to let your voice be heard, and a time to make a decision about how our country will be governed for the next four years.
You might be wondering if I’m going to endorse a political candidate in this post. I’m not. This blog was not created to push a political agenda, but to promote books and share my love of reading.
It’s not my job to tell you who to vote for. It’s up to you to make that decision. All I can do is encourage you to vote, and ask that you vote according to your conscience.
“Someone struggled for your right to vote. Use it.”Susan B. Anthony
Like many of you, I’ve been watching video footage online showing the length of early voting lines, and I have no doubt that those lines will also be long today. This election is extremely important, so I beg you, please don’t let long lines deter you from voting!
If you are a registered voter and you have not already done so, please make time to go and vote today. Be sure to wear a mask, social distance as best you can, and wash your hands…but be sure to vote.
