It is eight o’clock on Saturday morning, and we have officially reached the halfway point of the Reverse Readathon! I’ve really been enjoying myself so far, and I’ve had the opportunity to read some great books.
Since my previous update at 2 AM, I have managed to finish the Codename Sailor V series, which puts me at a total of three completed books!
So far during the Reverse Readathon, I have read the following titles from cover-to-cover:
- Shinjū (Laura Joh Rowland)
- Codename Sailor V, vol. 1 (Naoko Takeuchi)
- Codename Sailor V, vol. 2 (Naoko Takeuchi)
Reaching the halfway point of the Reverse Readathon is a solid achievement, and I am pleased with my overall progress so far. I found that I started getting really sleepy around four o’clock this morning, so I did take a break (and a nap) until about six o’clock. I’m feeling much more awake and energetic now, and looking forward to doing more reading.
Despite my nap, I have continued to make significant progress on my Reverse Readathon Bingo card. Reading the Codename Sailor V manga allowed me to complete seven additional spaces! I still haven’t decided if I’m going to try for a “blackout,” but I have decided what to do for my “Make your own challenge!” space. I am challenging myself to read at least five books from cover-to-cover during the Reverse Readathon.
I have also posted my second Reverse Readathon poll, which you can find on Twitter @UnapologBkworm. This time I’ve posed a question for my fellow Reverse Readathon participants: “How long are you planning to participate in the Reverse Readathon?” If you’re not on social media, you can still participate in this poll by leaving a comment on this post.
As the second half of the Reverse Readathon begins, I am going to be returning to reading novels. I’ll be starting the second half of the challenge with Defy or Defend, by Gail Carriger.
If you are currently participating in the Reverse Readathon, I hope that you are continuing to have a great time! We’re halfway there!
