It’s hard to believe that it’s already December 4th, but we’re only a few short weeks away from my favorite holiday…Christmas!
Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been thinking a lot about my family’s holiday traditions and what they mean to me. There are so many things that my family really looks forward to in December, including: driving around to look at Christmas lights, watching our favorite Christmas movies, making (and eating) gingerbread cookies, singing carols, and spending time together. All of these things make the Christmas season really special for us!
While I typically try to decorate my house the day after Thanksgiving, this year I decided to wait until December 1st to put up my Christmas tree. Unfortunately, my cat is really destructive when it comes to any kind of Christmas decor (especially trees), so I have to keep my tree in a closed room for the duration of the holiday season.
I’m really pleased with the way it turned out this year!
Another of my favorite traditions, which I started a few years ago, is having an advent calendar. This year I got an advent calendar released by Funko, which has a Marvel Comics theme. If you’re interested in seeing which miniature Funko Pop figure I find each day, I am posting pictures of each morning’s surprise on Twitter. You can follow me @UnapologBkworm. (If you follow me on Twitter, you’ll also get to see pictures of Darcy posing/playing with various Christmas decorations.)
I hope that you have a wonderful, joy-filled holiday season!
